BIOGRAPHY

Ono En is an anagram for ‘No One’ implying the main concept of the artist (collective); the artist does not exist. As a result, the neo-conceptual oeuvre is marked by this impossible absence of the artist, examining topics such as metaphysics and the artist as an idea an sich. The artist can be interpreted as the ultimate performance in which the artist itself dissolves and no longer exists. The oeuvre by the mysterious Ono En is marked by a multidisciplinary practice, encompassing installation, in situ artworks, painting, photography, sculpture and video.

Ono En (b. sine data, sine loco) resides and works nowhere. Ono En has exhibited across the globe showcasing works in Portugal, the United States of America, Austria, China, South Africa and Australia, featuring in collections such as the J. Simpson Collection, F. Frances Foundation, MKUD Collection, The Hope Foundation and the 一个画廊 Collection.
